Electric Fans
Electric fans are mechanical devices which are operated by using electric power. Electric fans are evolutionary form of handheld fans. These fans have made our lives comfortable. In the past, kings and rich people used to hire poor people who used to sway hand held fans continuously to provide their owners fresh air. Now-a-days, after the invention of electric fans, this luxury of enjoying the benefits of ventilation and fresh air has extended to all people. It has made our lives comfortable. Either alternate current or direct current is used. Even a combination of both currents can be used. In households, alternate current with voltage of 110 or 220 is used. While, direct current with 12 or 2 volts is used in smaller versions.
An electric fan works naturally. It does not pollute the air. It is quite convenient for preventing from heat stroke and chilling. In tropical regions, electric fan is a must. In the harsh climatic conditions and in tropical areas where throughout the year the rays of sun fall increasing the temperature. These fans are cheap in comparison with the air conditioning units. Therefore, electric fans are more economical and affordable for every one.

Electric fans are used for domestic and commercial purposes. These fans provide ventilation to machines and equipment for example automotive electric fans. An automotive electric fan is used to cool radiator in vehicles.
